Work is still worky as usual 1). I have plans for a long, long vacation somewhere far away when work stops being worky, but for now I'm stuck only taking off a week at a time.
I really did need a week off, so I did. And with the current US dollar exchange rate, a holiday to the United States of America seemed eminently doable and affordable, so I went to Florida. Never been there before, and I heard the weather's nice there. And a friend offered me a place to crash while there, bonus.
There's bunches of interesting things to do in Florida. Like seeing the Everglades, or visiting Kennedy Space Center.
However, instead I got unashamedly touristy and went to Seaworld and Universal 2). Both were actually tons of fun, Seaworld being a waterpark with all kinds of animals and shows, and Universal being a movie-themed amusement park with some excellent rides. Both recommended and certainly worth a visit.
In other travel-related news, I'll also be at Midwest FurFest later this year! (And, of course, at Eurofurence, but that shouldn't be a surprise.)
